These elements, which are present in most crib and bassinet mattresses and covers, as well as certain natural products such as sheepskins may represent a danger to your baby. Research has shown a common mildew, present in most used mattresses, may interact with these elements, creating a dangerous gas which may poison babies, especially those in the age range of 1 to 14 months.  There may also be a danger long-term from chronic exposure.  Over 80% of children with Pervasive Developmental Disorders have been found to have toxic levels of antimony and arsenic, as well as high levels of mercury, aluminum, lead and other elements considered dangerous.

It has been designed to ventilate only on the undersurface, which will direct any dangerous gases away from your baby. In addition, your baby will be protected from mattress dust mites.   As an emergency physician with over 25 years of experience, I am convinced there is a danger.
